Privacy Policy

RunReel is a free tool that turns a GPX or TCX file into a greenscreen overlay video, entirely in your browser. This policy explains what we do — and mostly don't — with your data.

Your running data

Your GPX or TCX file, your route and your coordinates never leave your device. The file is read in your browser and the video is made there. We do not upload it, receive it, or store it on any server.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand anonymous, aggregate usage — for example, how many videos are exported, or whether people use a phone or a computer. This helps us improve the tool. It never includes your GPX or TCX file, your route, your coordinates, or anything that identifies you personally.

Google Analytics may set cookies and use technical data such as your device type and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google processes this on our behalf; how Google handles it is described in Google's own privacy policy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, or by declining analytics cookies.

Cookies

The only cookies we use are for the analytics above. They are not required to use the tool — decline them and everything still works.

What we don't do

No accounts, no sign-ups, no passwords. We don't sell or share your data, and we don't run ads.
